Community Service Involvement
Membership in your builders association allows you to give back to the industry that has given you so much- Mid-Shores Home Builders Association has a long tradition of supporting charitable causes in the Calumet County area. We look for opportunities to support and give back to the communities in which we live and work. Projects include:
- The Cummings Family Community Project
- Handicap accessible ramps
- Building for Habitat for Humanity
- A remodel project for the New Hope Center
- Restoration of the New Holstein Historical Society’s Timm House
- An annual food and toy drive for the Salvation Army Bread of Life Assistance Center
- Installing playground equipment for the City of Kiel
- Scholarships and Tech Ed support for area students.
Signature Event
Members receive the invaluable benefit of eligibility to participate in MSHBA’s annual events showcasing members’ talents, services and products, while promoting the industry and value of home ownership to the public. The annual spring Home Fest showcases the latest products and services available whether you are building or remodeling your home. The annual fall Parade of Homes features new home construction as well as remodeling and additions within the Calumet County area. These targeted annual events directly reach thousands of people planning to build, buy or remodel!

Issue Advocacy
The association along with the BIC Council of the WBA promotes, develops, defines, and encourages the distribution of information about Wisconsin’s economic climate and the importance of job creation in the building industry to the general public of Wisconsin. Our goal is to encourage public policy that will lead to greater economic opportunity and a higher quality of life for Wisconsin’s citizens.
Protect and Promote the Building Industry (Government Affairs)
The Association acts as a source of timely and reliable information concerning the local building industry, and works to eliminate overly-restrictive and costly building laws and regulations that drive up the cost of housing. MSHBA provides a forum through which businesses can work together to remain informed regarding new and proposed governmental policies which affect the housing industry.

Members receive a comprehensive weekly news summary of the housing industry, and a free subscription to Builder Magazine. From WBA - WBA publishes e-newsletter and a quarterly magazine to keep members informed on issues affecting builders across the state.
